Each year, the CHHS Foundation and our Friends auxiliary continue to advance our mission in raising funds to embrace individuals and families facing life-changing journeys, enhancing quality of life for all. Several signature Foundation events are held throughout the year to support our mission as well as to better serve the patients and families we service throughout the Central Valley. You can make a difference in the lives of others by sponsoring and attending our events. All proceeds raised through these events benefit CHHS patients, families, and programs.

Spring Events

Annual Gala

Each spring, the CHHS Foundation proudly hosts its annual Gala in support of the compassionate mission of CHHS. Throughout the evening, guests can first enjoy a welcoming atmosphere of fellowship, complemented by fine cocktails, appetizers, and wine. Following the social hour, the event continues with a seated dinner and a special awards presentation. Finally, the evening concludes with both silent and live auctions, offering guests additional opportunities to support a meaningful cause. Pam Phillips Memorial Drive-Thru BBQ
Benefitting Camp Wokini

The Pam Phillips Memorial Drive-Thru BBQ Fundraiser began in 2016 as a way to raise funds to support Camp Wokini, CHHS youth grief camp for children and teens ages 6-17. Community members Ron and Stacy Ridenour, along with dear friends Pam and Kenny Phillips, were looking for a way to give back to CHHS. Pam and Kenny, who owned a catering business, shared their expertise, and together they came up with putting on a BBQ event. This event brought together the community while in turn supporting children in our community who have experienced loss and who could benefit from grief camp.

After Pam’s passing, the family decided to honor her memory by renaming the event the Pam Phillips Memorial BBQ. Since then, the tradition has lived on, and today it continues to thrive, both as a celebration of Pam’s legacy and as a vital fundraiser for Camp Wokini. Moreover, you can support this meaningful cause by becoming a sponsor or by purchasing a delicious meal. All proceeds go directly into helping fund Camp Wokini, offering hope and new beginnings.

Hops & Vines

Enjoy the tastings of locally brewed ales as well as fine wines with plenty of tasty eats to please your palate. You certainly will not want to miss the variety of engaging activities available, such as axe throwing, corn hole, a photo booth, silent auction items, and much more. Additionally, these offerings provide great fun for all attendees. Furthermore, all proceeds from Hops & Vines directly support the compassionate mission of CHHS, making your participation even more meaningful. Golf Fore Community Hospice & Health Services

Join the CHHS Foundation for our annual Golf Tournament at the Del Rio Country Club. This exciting event follows a four-person scramble format and promises a full day of enjoyment and camaraderie. To begin, participants will be treated to brunch and beverages before heading out to the course. Along the way, they can take part in a variety of fun activities. Later in the day, the event continues with a hosted dinner accompanied by wine, followed by an awards ceremony. Additionally, guests will have the chance to participate in the thrilling helicopter ball drop, as well as a live auction and more. Walk & Roll Fun Run 

The Friends of CHHS warmly invite walkers, runners, and rollers to participate in the Walk & Roll Fun Run! This untimed 1K/5K event is open to all, and most importantly, proceeds will benefit Gabriel’s Friends Pediatric Fund. In turn, this fund directly supports CHHS Pediatric Care Programs, helping to enhance care for our youngest patients. Light Up A Life

Each year, the Friends of CHHS proudly host Light Up a Life, a cherished holiday tree lighting ceremony. To better serve our communities, we are pleased to offer three ceremonies, specifically in Turlock, Oakdale, and Modesto. Moreover, these meaningful evenings offer families, friends, and the community a time for reflection, healing, and hope. In addition to the tree lighting ceremony, guests may honor loved ones by purchasing a Symbolic Light or Personalized Ornament. Moreover, these heartfelt tributes support the mission of CHHS while enhancing the spirit of the event. Proceeds from these purchases support the mission of CHHS.
